By providing test and measurement tools for research and development and assurance of product quality, Advantest plays an essential role in transforming high-tech innovations into practical, commercial applications. We set the benchmarks by providing the systems, software and expertise these visionaries depend on. With the R&D department the SW Continuous Integration/Release Engineer will play a key role. You will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes for the progression of code in the development, test, and production environments. You will also work with tools team to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments. You will assist in managing projects and interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence to ensure the integrity of the release can be measured. You are responsible for: Optimize Continuous Integration (CI) process Define, monitor and improve CI process steps in alignment with project teams and stakeholders, e.g. define different test levels for CI process steps. Work on release criteria and integration schedule Maintain integration schedule, drive conflict resolution and ensure alignment between cross-functional team and stakeholder. Define, monitor, improve release criteria in alignment with stakeholders. Prepare management checkpoints Responsible for driving improvements within the integration team

You will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes for the progression of code in the development, test, and production environments. The software integration and release job function works collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and is supportive of developers and testers as they set up their build dev/test environments. You will also work with tools team to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments. The software integration and release responsibilities also include building the integration schedule working closely with the release stream managers and "centralizing" view of all releases. You will assist in managing projects and interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence to ensure the integrity of the release can be measured. Prepare management checkpoints Integration Team Product Owner Responsible for driving improvements within the integration team Your Profile: Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent 5+ years' experience in large software development projects Analytical, structured, agile approach of problem-solving. Experience with modern tools & methodologies for doing source management, packaging & software release Experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills (German & English); ability to effectively communicate across 3rd parties, technical and business product managers Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion Strong background in test driven as well as agile development, specifically SCRUM Experience with Jenkins (preferred) One or more scripting languages including Unix shell scripting (preferred) General Programming skills (e.g. C, C++, Python, Ruby) (preferred) We offer: Usage of state-of-the-art technology Teamwork in an international environment Open business culture with flat hierarchies Flexible working times Free space for creativity, participation on success Join our team!
